All about Delayed Marriage OR No Marriage.

Marriage is a must-must like event in life. In India, the current minimum age of marriage is 18 years and 21years for women and men respectively. Regarding the late marriage, the questions that naturally arise in our minds are what is the age range of early marriage, late or delayed marriage and right age marriage? Right? In answering these questions striking the balance between prevailing law, astrological principles, the current norms of the society, and career prospective, we can perhaps say that the approximate age range for early marriage, marriage at right age and late marriage age for male and female are approximately as below: -

Early marriage age range for female: - between 25 and 26

Early marriage age range for male: - between 27 and 28

Right age marriage for female: - between 27 and 30

Right age for male: -between 28 and 32

Late marriage age for female: - above 30 years

Late marriage age for male: - above 32 years.

Late marriage is a burning issue for each and every family. A sizeable number of clients visit astrologers for marriage, marriage break up, and delayed or late marriage related issues. We see in real life that few men and women get married late or very late and a few even do not get married notwithstanding they are good looking, well educated, have successful career, and belong to a good family background. The marriage does not just come to happen in their lives. We will dwell upon the astrological reasons on this topic.

The Houses responsible for delayed or late Marriage or No marriage in the Horoscope:

The 7th house is the house of marriage. It is the main house of marriage and spouse. The 7th house from the lagna/ascendant, and Moon sign or Chandra lagna/Chandra Rashi is examined for all marriage related predictions. There is mention in our classical texts that the 7th house from the planet Venus should also be consulted. That 7th house or the lord of that 7th house whichever is the strongest amongst the three should be given weighting as 7th house. The 6th, 8th and 12th houses and their lords also have bearing on delaying marriage.

The Navamsa or the D9 chart is the divisional chart of the 7th house. For reaching to the final decision and confirmation about any marriage related issues the examination of the Navamsa Chart is indispensable. The Navamsa lagna lord stands for our desire or willingness to get married. The placement of the Navamsa lord in the 12th house or its weakness by other means connotes to the lack of interest in marriage and thus creates situation for late marriage or no marriage. Sometime later, I shall discuss about the Navamsa chart in another post. It deserves to discuss independently.

Planets Responsible for delay in Marriage:

Saturn, Rahu and Ketu are the fixed karaka planets for causing delay in marriage. Being the natural karaka or significator of delay, Saturn is main planet for late marriage. Saturn’s association, aspect or influence on the 7th house and/or on the 7th house lord considerably delays marriage provided no mitigating influence is received from benefic planets, especially from Jupiter. The Cancer and Leo ascendant natives are seen a bit late in getting married as Saturn rules the 7th houses for these two ascendants.

The lord of the 8th house if anyway associated with 7th house and 7th lord also works as marriage delaying agent. When the 7th house or/and the 7th house lord is/are placed in fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) then this position also works as delaying agent of marriage. It is already said that Venus is the Karaka of marriage for both men and women and also stands for wife in the men’s horoscope; Jupiter stands for husband in women’s horoscope. So, the placement of Venus and Jupiter in the fixed signs also works in a bit delaying the marriage. Retrograde planets also play roles in delaying marriage. Retrograde Venus, Jupiter and 7th lord defer marriage.  If 2nd or/and 7th house is/are placed with retrograde planet then this position defers the marriage. Lastly but importantly, weak, repressive, debilitated and combusted 7th lord delays marriage.

Combinations for delay or NO Marriage:-

The 7th house of a birth chart is the house of marriage. So, the 7th house, 7th lord, the Nakshatras of the 7th house and 7th lords have a role in telling about marriage and spouse. Venus is the significator of marriage and stands for wife in a male chart. In a female chart Jupiter stands for husband.

So, Venus and Jupiter play important role in foretelling all about marriage and spouse. The Navamsa chart or D9 chart is the divisional chart for marriage. So, the Navamsa chart is also called the Spouse chart. Checking the Navamsa for precisely predicting marriage related issues indispensible.

Therefore, no matter related with marriage can be confirmed without examining the Navamsa chart or D9 chart; while, saying this, there is a very important point to keep in mind that the Navamsha chart cannot override the promise, prize or punishment indicated  by the main birth chart or Lagna chart or D1 chart. (D1= Lagna chart= main birth chart).

For example, if the marriage situation is severely inflicted in the Lagna chart and the same is not inflicted in the Navamsa chart, then the Navamsha chart cannot rectify the situation. If Lagna kundali is indicating a much delayed marriage and the same signal is also given by the Navamsa kundali then surely marriage will be delayed. Again, if the lagna kundali indicates separation or divorce and the Navamsa chart also upholds this situation then it is a sure signal of divorce.  In this post, I shall discuss a few basic dictums of how a delayed marriage or no marriage situations are identified in a chart.

1) A strong Navamsa Lagna and Lagna lord indicate the desire for marriage. The Navamsa lord placed in the 12 house indicates no desire for marriage.

2)   The 7th house lord of the D1 chart placed in the 12th house also indicates no interest in marriage.

3)   Saturn in the 7th house and flanked by malefic from both sides in the D1 chart indicates no marriage. The presence of this position in the Navamsa chart confirms no marriage.

4)   If 7th house and 7th house lord are receiving multiple inflictions in both the charts (D1 & D9) then no marriage situation is assured.

5)   Multiple inflictions in 2nd/4th/12th houses or more than one or all of them in the D1 chart and D9 chart indicates no marriage.

6)    7th house of D1 and D9 charts are having the lords of 6th/8th/12/ house or more than one of them and no benefic aspect is received and is combust or retrograde or debilitated indicates no marriage.

7)   Lord of the 6th/8th/12th house is posited in the 7th house of D1 and D9 chart and he is combusted or debilitated or in retrograde and without benefic aspect especially from the Jupiter indicates no marriage.

8)   7th house or lord of the 7th house of D1 and D9 charts and Jupiter in a female chart and Venus in a male chart are afflicted indicates no marriage.

9)   Afflicted Venus or Venus and Mercury in the 7th houses of D1 and D9 charts indicate no marriage.

10) Venus/Sun/Moon afflicted in the 6th/8th/12th house of both charts indicates no marriage.

11)  Saturn or Saturn and Rahu in the 7th house and no benefic aspect to them indicate a delay in marriage.

12)   2nd house affliction in both the charts indicated a delay in marriage or no marriage.

13)  The affliction of 7th house and 7th lord in the D9 chart indicates a delay in marriage.

14)   Close degree conjunction of 7th lords of D1 and D9 charts with the lords of 6th/8th/12th house indicates a delay in marriage.

15)   Saturn and Rahu in the 12th house of D1 or D9 chart without benefic aspect from Jupiter or Venus delays in marriage beyond 36 years.

16) The presence of Mangal dosha in the Kundali and Mars is combusted or retrograde or debilitated indicated delay in marriage or even no marriage.

17) Saturn and Sun are in lagna and/or lagna lord hemmed in between two malefic is likely denying the marriage.

18) Saturn and Sun in 7th house indicates a much-delayed marriage. This combination in a female chart may also deny marriage.

19) Rahu in the 7th house or 9th house and aspected by malefic indicates denial of marriage.

20) 7th lord in 8th house or conjunction of 7th and 8th lords in the 7th or 8th house delays marriage.

21) 2nd house is severely afflicted and its lord is placed in 12th house in retrograde position delays the marriage.

22) 2nd house is aspected by retrograde planet or retrograde planet joins the 2nd house delays the marriage.

23) Saturn and Moon in 7th house results in late marriage.

24) Lagna lord’s placement in the 7th house gives the native a very independent and not much caring nature for marriage which leads to delay in marriage.

25) Navamsa lagna represents our desire or willingness for marriage. 12th house placed or otherwise weak Navamsa lagna lord promotes to the lack of interest in marriage and thereby leads to late marriage.

26) The lords of the 2nd house and 7th house are conjoined with malefic and weak marriage karak Venus indicate delay in marriage.

27) The Sun, Mars, Jupiter and Venus in the 10th house also create obstacles in timely marriage.

28) 7th lord in conjunction with Saturn or in opposition to Saturn delays in marriage

29) Venus and Saturn conjunction or opposition indicates late marriage.

Concluding point: -

All of the above-mentioned conditions cannot be present in a single horoscope. The presence of a few of them makes the marriage delay and when 4 or more than 4 such conditions are present in a single horoscope, then it can indicate absolute denial of marriage.

Remedies to get rid of late marriage: -

1)Worship with devotion Sri Krishna and Radha by keeping their photo their joint photo in the tabernacle or Kaali for 15 days beginning from the first day of Sukla pakshya/bright fortnight.

2) Donate red clothes to married women on Tuesday.

3) Wear Yellow Sapphire of about 3 carets (not more than 3.5 carets) in a gold made ring in your index finger of right-hand on a Thursday morning and a Turquoise or Firoza of about 6 carets in platinum or silver made ring in your ring finger of right hand on Friday morning. Wear both only after Pran-Pratistha is done. Also note that if these two rings are gifted by father than it is seen that they become more effective.

4) Boil potatoes and color them with yellow color and feed them to a black milch cow.

5) Strengthen or propitiate the 7th house lord by chanting its Mantra on kamal Gatta Rosary.

Note: - Perform any two of the above-mentioned remedies.

Know the Height of your Future spouse.

According to the Hindu, beliefs marriage is one of the sixteenth sacramental rites in the passage of human life. The marital pairs are destined; we are just circumstantial occasions. In the social context, marriage is an institution that refers to our cultural milieu and conforms to the process of a social construct. From the point of view of a young individual, it is a very fascinating occasion of life. Every young man and woman wait eagerly for this epoch-making occasion of life. The more romantic ones occasionally dwell upon fantasy land imagining what their presumptive life partner looks like, how far he/she is and what he/she does…The astrology is such a coffer of a branch of knowledge passed to us by our Seers and Rishis which can accurately answer such inquisitions. While saying this I humbly hope that the esteemed readers who assert themselves having highly progressive (!) outlooks would not label me as an oriental hypocrite. Secrets of Shannadi Chakra.

Shannadi means six Naadis, i.e. Nakshatras (constellations). Shannadi chakra is a chakra or chart of six Nakshatras. Shannadi chakra along with Naba Tara chakra provides additional inputs to the dasha and gochar system and, thus helps in maximizing prediction accuracy.   Actually, the dasha, gochara, Shannadi chakra, and Naba Tara chakra function like interconnected components in predicting the effects of a particular period of time upon a native.   Truly speaking, the result they give is amazing – almost infallible.    How is the Shannadi chakra drawn? The Janma Nakshatra is a very important consideration in Vedic astrology. Janma Nakshatra means that Nakshatra (constellation) which the Moon takes on with it at the moment of birth of a native. The Shannadi chakra is drawn counting the Moon as the 1 st Nakshatra or Naadi which is called Janma Nakshatra.  The names of the Shannadi Chakra are: - 1) Janma Naadi, 2) Karma Naadi, 3) Shanghatik Naadi, 4)Samudaya Naadi

Varsha Pravesh, Varshaphal and Muntha effects.

Varsha Pravesh or Varshaphal and Muntha system of horoscopy are originally Arabian concepts which might have come to India through interaction between Arabian and Indian astrological scholars approximately 1500 years back.  For its Arabian origin, this system is called Tajika or Tajik system and it is employed for casting    only the annual progression horoscope but not the natal horoscope. The Varsha Pravesh system has been in practice in India since the time of Barahamihira (505 -587), the famous Hindu astronomer, mathematician and astrologer who wrote many books on auguries, and authored the Brihat-Jatak and the Laghu-Jataka, the two great treaties of astrology. Until then the Tithi Pravesh system had been employed in casting annual horoscope in India. Although Varsha pravesh and Muntha differ in the method of casting the annual charts but for drawing the inferences for forecasting the events of life the findings of both the charts are employed. So, they are complementary t
