Mercury: the planet of Intellect and Communication.

Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun and never farther than 28 degrees. He takes 87 days and 23 hours to orbit the Sun and stays about 30 days in a Zodiac sign. In the zodiac, Mercury rules over Gemini, the airy sign, and Virgo, the earthy sign.

Gemini and Virgo fall in the   common or mutable category of zodiac signs; mutable or common signs indicate changeable and indecisive nature. The Mercury of Gemini represents sharp intellect, inquisitiveness, curiosity, memory power, inventive faculties, wittiness, humour, analytical power; exploring and research oriented nature, unstable and changeable and extrovert nature whereas the Mercury of Virgo represents a nature of expertise in planning and executing with a sole objective of gaining material advantage –fulfilling epicurean pursuit.

Mercury signifies intellect and communication; it is also called the messenger planet: in the context of the present era, the planet of mass communication. Mercury is very curious and has great desire for learning and changes. He enjoys disassembling and reassembling things that generate his curiosity.

The native with strong Mercury in his horoscope can easily sense what the other, in front of him/her is about to say.  In the planetary cabinet, Mercury holds the position of prince.  Having a changeable nature, Mercury quickly takes on the characteristics of the planet he is associated with, but he doesn’t give up his own nature.

He assumes malefic nature, when in conjunction with malefic planets and benefit nature when in conjunction with beneficial planets and gives those malefic or benefic  results according to his own nature. In this context, one important point to keep in mind is that a planet delivers the results during his Mahadash or Antardasha or Pratyantardash. Functioning of a planet is influenced by the sign, house and the planets and Nakshatra linked with.

But the planets never lose their inherent nature in giving result. For example, if Rahu is a functionally good planet in a particular horoscope, then he will deliver his good results according to his inherent nature: through predicament, chaos, confusion and disorder – never smoothly. Saturn’s aspect to or conjunction with Mercury is good because it gives him stability.

On the other hand   influence of Venus any way makes the native subservient and slavishly obedient to other. Mercury is also karaka of Mathematics. His conjunction with Mars in a friendly sign or association with the sign of Aries makes the native good in mathematics.
Human anatomically Mercury represents our skin, ears, nose, tongue, hands, arms, hair, brain, mind, lungs, and nervous system. Therefore, afflicted, debilitated, and ill placed Mercury causes to happen the diseases related with any of these body parts or organs, a few namely, stammering, dumbness, deafness, lisping, epilepsy, whooping cough, typhoid, thyroid, and gallbladder disease.

Mercury rules over the mental faculties and Moon rules over the mind; therefore, severely afflicted Mercury and Moon in the 5th or 1st house presage insanity.

But the planets never lose their inherent nature in giving result. For example, if Rahu is a functionally good planet in a particular horoscope, then he will deliver his good results according to his inherent nature: through predicament, chaos, confusion and disorder – never smoothly. Know the Height of your Future spouse.

According to the Hindu, beliefs marriage is one of the sixteenth sacramental rites in the passage of human life. The marital pairs are destined; we are just circumstantial occasions. In the social context, marriage is an institution that refers to our cultural milieu and conforms to the process of a social construct. From the point of view of a young individual, it is a very fascinating occasion of life. Every young man and woman wait eagerly for this epoch-making occasion of life. The more romantic ones occasionally dwell upon fantasy land imagining what their presumptive life partner looks like, how far he/she is and what he/she does…The astrology is such a coffer of a branch of knowledge passed to us by our Seers and Rishis which can accurately answer such inquisitions. While saying this I humbly hope that the esteemed readers who assert themselves having highly progressive (!) outlooks would not label me as an oriental hypocrite. In this post, I shall delineate on how on

Secrets of Shannadi Chakra.

Shannadi means six Naadis, i.e. Nakshatras (constellations). Shannadi chakra is a chakra or chart of six Nakshatras. Shannadi chakra along with Naba Tara chakra provides additional inputs to the dasha and gochar system and, thus helps in maximizing prediction accuracy.   Actually, the dasha, gochara, Shannadi chakra, and Naba Tara chakra function like interconnected components in predicting the effects of a particular period of time upon a native.   Truly speaking, the result they give is amazing – almost infallible.    How is the Shannadi chakra drawn? The Janma Nakshatra is a very important consideration in Vedic astrology. Janma Nakshatra means that Nakshatra (constellation) which the Moon takes on with it at the moment of birth of a native. The Shannadi chakra is drawn counting the Moon as the 1 st Nakshatra or Naadi which is called Janma Nakshatra.  The names of the Shannadi Chakra are: - 1) Janma Naadi, 2) Karma Naadi, 3) Shanghatik Naadi, 4)Samudaya Naadi

Varsha Pravesh or Varshaphal and Muntha system of horoscopy are originally Arabian concepts which might have come to India through interaction between Arabian and Indian astrological scholars approximately 1500 years back.  For its Arabian origin, this system is called Tajika or Tajik system and it is employed for casting    only the annual progression horoscope but not the natal horoscope. The Varsha Pravesh system has been in practice in India since the time of Barahamihira (505 -587), the famous Hindu astronomer, mathematician and astrologer who wrote many books on auguries, and authored the Brihat-Jatak and the Laghu-Jataka, the two great treaties of astrology.
