The literal meaning of the term “Saade Saati” is 7½ years. The Planets that participate in causing the Saade Saati are Moon and Saturn. When Saturn transits the 12 th house from the Moon sign, Saade Saati begins and when he (Saturn) leaves out the 2 nd house from the Moon, the Saade Saati period comes to an end.  This same rule is also applicable from the Ascendant, but, not from the ascendant lord.
